There’s no reason to be ashamed or embarrased about hiring me as your tidying coach – when your friends and family see the results, they’ll all want one!
Of course. I can meet you wherever you are. If you’ve tried other ways to declutter, I can introduce you to the KonMari Method™ which guarantees lasting success. If you’re familiar with the method but would like expert help to apply it, I’m trained and qualified to do just that. If you began your tidying journey at some point but life got in the way and you haven’t completed the process, I’d love to help you refocus and get back on track.

Completing the KonMari tidying journey means your home will be tidy once and for all with minimal maintenance required afterwards. Marie Kondo boasts of a 100% success rate – not one of her thousands of clients has experienced a rebound into clutter. This is due to the comprehensive and thorough nature of the process – no item is left untouched – as well as the personal journey a client goes on when they confront each one of their possessions. I consider it a real honour to support and guide my clients along their unique path, witnessing them change and grow in amazing ways!
Minimalists try to live with only the things they need. They typically discard everything that doesn’t add value to their lives and many choose to downsize and live in small spaces. I see many similarities with the KonMari Method ™ and if you aspire to live minimally, the method can absolutely help you to do so. But if minimalism doesn’t appeal to you, that’s fine too. With KonMari, you are helped to reach your own unique ideal lifestyle (which involves finding the ‘right amount’ of belongings for you, rather than the minimal amount you require.)
No, don’t worry. I promise I won’t force you to discard anything. Every single decision about what to keep will be yours – my role will be to guide you through a step-by-step process to enable those decisions. Through my tidying approach and line of questioning, you will find it increasingly easy to choose which items still have a place in your home and which have outlived their purpose.

Yes you can. But as the method involves tidying in one go, and handling every one of your possessions, it can be time consuming. It is possible to lose momentum along the way or get ‘stuck’ on some categories which you find trickier than others. The benefit of working with me is that I’ll always be by your side to encourage you and keep you going, with practical help and guidance as well as moral support. You will experience the benfits of a tidy home much faster than working alone.
No. The KonMari Method is a collaborative process and my role is to facilitate your own decision making about your own belongings. The key to avoiding a relapse into clutter is confronting your possessions yourself (just once) and making your own decisions about what to keep. I want to enable you to get tidy and stay tidy.
No, please don’t. It’s important to get an accurate assessment of your starting point and current struggles before we begin our work together. It won’t be long before your home starts to transform, I promise.
No. It’s highly likely that you have enough storage space for the items you end up keeping and it could be a waste of money to buy anything new upfront. Once the whole process is finished, it’s a great time to purchase new items if they suit your new lifestyle and bring you joy.
This is a common problem but it doesn’t mean that you can’t put your own belongings in order. Whilst the KonMari Method™ does not advocate tidying anyone else’s things, those who complete the process often find that those they share a house with are inspired to follow suit. Even if that doesn’t happen, it’s common to find that others’ stuff bothers you less once you are living a life that sparks joy!
It’s not a requirement but I find that clients who have read ‘The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying’ are often keen to get started and their enthusiasm helps make sessions really successful. Reading the book prior to beginning your tidying journey will also cut down on the time I need to spend explaining aspects of the process so we can make the most of our in-session hours together.
This depends on many variables, as everyone is different with respect to the volume of their belongings, the speed with which they make decisions and their willingness to work alone on categories between sessions. I recently worked with a client who took eight sessions to work though all the categories in her medium sized family home. Some of these were full day sessions and others were just three hours long. Although this may seem like a lot, rest assured that this is a once and for all tidying experience which will not need to be repeated. And the more tidying categories you are prepared to work through yourself, the less of my time you will need.
My rates vary according to the needs of each client and will be discussed during your complementary phone consultation. In general, the more in-person tidying hours you require as part of your package, the lower the cost to you per session. However, I am open to finding ways to work with you, whatever your budget, so if you are interested in hiring me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Yes, I hold up to date Personal Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance. I also hold a current enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) certificate for your added peace of mind.
